Mr. Mandar Mhatre

Advisory Board Member
Mandar, an MMS Finance from Mumbai University, has more than 15 years experience in Corporate Strategy, Corporate Finance and Equity Research for Leading International Banks. After resigning as an Executive Director in Corporate Strategy for J.P. Morgan Chase in Hong Kong, he has co-founded Fat Cat Consulting & Media, a specialist corporate communication agency and Amethyst Capital Advisor. In addition, he is an investor/mentor for few other start-ups. As part of J.P. Morgan Chase, he was responsible for driving strategic dialogue related to country expansion and wholesale banking products. He has an in-depth understanding of hedge funds, trading businesses, quantitative research, risk management and Indian and Asian operating environment. He currently undertakes assignments related to growth strategy, operational effectiveness & business turnaround. He specializes in corporate strategy, valuation and markets.

Mr. Tanksale is enriched with a Bachelor degree of Science, a Master degree in English Literature and professional credentials like Fellow member of the Institute of Cost & Management Accountants of India (FCMA); Company Secretary (Inter) of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India; CAIIB. He has been conferred with several awards, distinctions and accolades during his rich career. He won the GOLDEN PEACOCK HR EXCELLENCE AWARD 2012, PERSON OF THE YEAR for his contribution to Financial Inclusion by SKOCH Foundation, to name a few. Mr. Tanksale, in his own capacity and as previous Chief Executive of IBA (Indian Banks’ Association), has served on several Committees and Governing Councils. He is / has been:

  1. Member on the Board of International Banking Federation (IBFed), a key international forum for addressing legislative, regulatory and other issues of interest to the global banking industry. IBA is an Associate Member of IBFed.
  2. Member of the Governing Council of Institute of Banking & Personnel Selection- IBPS
  3. Member of the Governing Council of Indian Institute of Banking & Finance – IIBF. He is also a Member of their Executive Committee and Chairman of their Education & Training Committee
  4. Member, RBI Standing Advisory Committee for Urban Co-op Banks
  5. Member on Committee set up by Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance to examine the financial architecture for the MSME Sector
  6. Member on the Pension Advisory Committee of PFRDA.
  7. Member on the RBI Standing Advisory Committee to review the flow of Institutional Credit to MSME Sector
  8. Member of the National Governing Council of Institute of Cost Accountants of India.
  9. Served on the Board of Life Insurance Corporation of India, Indo Zambia Bank Ltd., Zambia, Africa and Subsidies of Punjab National Bank of India and Central Bank of India.

Mr. Tanksale was,
– Chairman Managing Director of Central Bank of India (2011-2013)
– Executive Director of Punjab National Bank (2009-2011)
– Prior to the above he was in Union Bank of India for 35 years.

Mr. Ramesh Iyenger

Ramesh is an experienced corporate finance professional with specialisation in corporate finance/ law, financial management systems and processes and asset financing. He has led several projects related to process re-engineering and structuring cross border investments, with emphasis on local methods. He also has several years of experience in international taxation. He has handled various assignments in India and senior management and CFO levels in large multinationals [such as Kirloskar Toyota, IFB Bosch, PSI Data Systems and Wipro]. He was also heading the indirect taxation practice in Lovelock and Lewes [now part of PwC] in their Bangalore office. Recently, he worked with some hedge funds in identifying, valuing and structuring investments into India. Ramesh specializes in the automotive, engineering and software services industry related financial practices and processes. Ramesh is also on the advisory board of several software companies.
